Whilst employed in-house at St George, I designed a better detailed version of the Victorian terraced houses on the opposite side of the street, so what appears as houses is actually a block of flats, with some significant steelwork in the quite complex roof. With this design strategy a significantly better quantity of dwellings was approved, creating the best value for the development, increasing revenue far in excess of the increase in build cost.
